Part 2 – Couture for Dreamers – Paris Couture Week S/S 2016
This years Paris Couture Week Spring Summer 2016 made our dreams of beauty a reality. Part 2 of our Couture coverage looks at the collections who took our breath away, created dresses that made us want to attend balls and galas and get married over and over again! There was old school charm from three of the most iconic fashion houses: Armani, Chanel & Valentino. The collections had elegant chic couture with timeless pieces that can be worn by generations to come. There were dresses made for the elegant lady inside us all, from: Elie Saab, Georges Hobeika, Georges Chakra, Rami Kadi and Tony Ward Couture. Finally there were the designers that created collections for Queens: Giambattista Valli, Ralph & Russo, Zuhair Murad, Guo Pei, Ashi Studio and Rami Al Ali.
The Houses of Armani, Chanel and Valentino, had couture collections of chic elegance with timeless pieces that can be worn by generations to come.
Armani has always had the cuts that enhance your figure. Adding to you with the fabulous fabrics, textures and prints. This was a collection mainly in violet, a definite trend of the season. With everything we love from Armani Prive. Fabulous trousers, a touch of futuristic cuts, beautiful dresses for cocktails and balls. An all round gem.
Its not just the theatrics of Chanel that we have come to adore, where models were in a wooden arc, but of course the timeless Chanel collection itself. Of course the tweed suit was there with midi lengths, with soft silk dresses perfect for summer vacations.
A Couture show where every dress could star on Game on Thrones, for every scene, for every woman. The models were bare foot with gold leaf adorning their ankles and snake crowns on their hair. There was velvet, tapestry, fur, beautiful combinations of seducing textures. A truly dreamy collection.

With a tropical jungle background, and fantasy dresses with the signature Elie Saab embroidery and detailing.
Couture in all its glory, with fabrics and handiwork of such intricate detail that the dresses were waterfalls flowing on the models. The colour palette was that of macaroons, violet, pistachio and orange blossom.
This was a collection of stunningly beautiful gowns, with unreal fabrics and detailing. Divine.
A truly graceful, delicate collection with a touch of fun!
